My name is Rob, and I live in Sydney, Australia.

I have been interested in CNC for a few years now. I did my own conversion of a round column mill, but I was not happy with this as the head moved on the column and made accuracy difficult to achieve.

So, I sold that on Ebay and bought a Promica CNC Sieg X3 mill, together with their IC3A controller and a 4th axis rotary table. This works very nicely.

I just completed building my second CNC lathe.

I have a passion for benchrest rifle shooting, and one of the goals of my workshop is for me to build better more accurate target rifles.

My other passion is playing pool, and I have also done a lot of work on pool and snooker cues, like re-tipping, fitting ferrules, making weights and thread protectors etc.

I have a background in mechanical engineering and have my own IT business.
